However, did you know that us Brits brought some of the greatest design innovations into the timekeeping world?

Here is a brief history of British watchmaking, and an explanation of how and why we build our watches the way we do.

Here at Camden HQ, we're always excited to launch something new. That moment of finally showing a new idea to the world is consistently as exciting as it is nerve-wracking.

And, now, three and a half years in, we're getting ready for our biggest launch to date.

It's no secret that the British love, ok need, their tea. Indeed, we have loved it so much over the past centuries that it has become one of Britain’s number one trademarks.

So we decided that we wanted to create an exclusive and delicious blend that would not only commemorate Britain’s long lasting love affair with tea but also truly reflect our spirit. A brew that wouldn’t only taste great but that would also tell a story.

This week, Communications Coordinator Christina sat down with our co-founder Anneke Short to discuss all things watch design, inspiration and future plans for Camden Watch Co.

How did you get into designing watches?

I’ve always been creative, from writing poems to making ‘perfumes’ for my family at Christmas, I was always working on one project or another.

You'll be well aware of how much we cherish Camden here at Camden Watch Co., and how fascinated we are by it’s captivating history and heritage. So we thought we’d share with you some of Camden Market’s history with you, introducing its great industrial heritage, in the hope that you’ll find it as interesting as we do.
