Camden x Brew Tea Co is Back!

It's no secret that the British love, ok need, their tea. Indeed, we have loved it so much over the past centuries that it has become one of Britain’s number one trademarks.

So we decided that we wanted to create an exclusive and delicious blend that would not only commemorate Britain’s long lasting love affair with tea but also truly reflect our spirit. A brew that wouldn’t only taste great but that would also tell a story.

We teamed up with the great British Brew Tea Co to bring you the strong and smokey Worker’s Blend Loose Leaf Tea.

The first batch sold out. So we packed our bags, headed up north to Manchester and paid our friends at Brew Tea Co a visit, picking up a fresh batch of Worker's Blend at the same time.

It looks different - we've reworked the packaging - but it still has the same great smoky taste.

About The Tea

In the 1800s, British industrial workers started taking tea breaks in the afternoon to help keep them fuelled, alert and to subdue hunger.

Victorian Factory Workers Tea Break

Our earthy blend will take you back to this Victorian Camden, where canal workers, railway men and raffish aristocrats lived, worked and drank side by side.

Combining 80% Assam indian black tea with 20% Lapsang Souchong Chinese black tea (a tea that is smoke-dried over pinewood fires, lending it a distinctive smokey taste), our worker’s blend is rich, hearty and smoky. Pour it into a thermos to keep you warm on a hike, or take it with milk as you settle in on a long winter’s night.

Or, if cocktails are more your - ahem - cup of tea, then it works great infused in gin for a G&T with a twist.

How We Met Brew Tea Co

When we started The Camden Watch Co., we always knew that we wanted to collaborate with forward-thinking and creative businesses like ours. We got in touch Brew Tea Co before we had even launched to see if they would be up for a collaboration and it was the start of a long and happy friendship. They instantly loved the idea of helping us produce our very own blend of tea and we’ve been working together ever since.

Back in late 2016, we launched what our first ever Limited Edition watch. Based on Tom Sayers, a champion bare-knuckle boxer from Camden, it was a steel No.88 with a black dial limited to 200 pieces, and we loved it.

Produced in four batches of 50, each batch sold out fast, and ever since we have received emails and messages asking us if by any chance we've held any back (we haven't), or even if it was possible buy our very own edition (it isn't).

The History of Punk in Camden

December 05, 2019

Camden and its market are ever changing, just as the rest of London is evolving, but somehow you can still feel the echoes of Camden's history. Most notably, and perhaps one of the main reasons people visit Camden, is its fundamental place in London's punk scene.
