This month marked the launch of our new watch, the No.27 Type II and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
After almost a year of design, revision and modifications, we're so excited to finally be able to share it with you and to give you a secret peek behind the curtain into how this watch came to be.
We wanted to create a watch that oozed vintage style, but that wouldn't look out of place on the modern wrist. A contemporary re-working of the beautiful vintage timepieces that inspire so much of what we do.
For this, size was key. Contrary to our signature No.29, inspired by vintage pocket watches, we wanted this watch to reflect the smaller more discreet size of wristwatches of times gone by.
So starting with the same case as our core range No.27, first launched in 2015 and fast becoming a favourite within our collection, we set out to design the perfect unisex watch.
The dial went through hundreds of changes, some big, some subtle, but each bringing us closer to our goal until finally there was nothing left to change or take away. The result is a minimalist face that exudes elegance while remaining quick and easy to read in a simple glance. So now the design was ready, but we needed more, a final touch that would truly set this watch apart. We decided to add a subtle curve to the dial's edge, a vintage kick that adds depth and texture to the watch without being distracting.
We then set about finalising the rest of the watch. First, we added a brushed finish to the bezel, reducing the shine and ensuring the dial is front and centre.
Then, we added a thick leather strap and a polished metal mesh band that keeps the watch feeling fresh and modern without clashing with the refined style of the watch itself.
And voila, the No.27 Type II was finally ready to go.

Back in late 2016, we launched what our first ever Limited Edition watch. Based on Tom Sayers, a champion bare-knuckle boxer from Camden, it was a steel No.88 with a black dial limited to 200 pieces, and we loved it.
Produced in four batches of 50, each batch sold out fast, and ever since we have received emails and messages asking us if by any chance we've held any back (we haven't), or even if it was possible buy our very own edition (it isn't).
