Tell us about yourself:

Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been living in London for the last year as I am living out a dream of playing professional football with Arsenal Football Club.   Before this year, I spent the last fifteen years of my life competing with the US Women’s National Soccer Team and won three Olympic Gold Medals (Athens, Bejiing, and London!) and was a member of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup winning side.

What’s been your favorite moment over the past few years and why?

My favorite moment over the past few years was getting on a plane and moving to London.  I have never lived in another country before and it has been a beautiful adventure so far.  Sometimes it takes you to move somewhere completely new to realize that when you are true to yourself, you are home.  

What inspires you:

 I am inspired by the power of sport.  Football is a powerful tool and because of the game, I have traveled the world and have become a braver, stronger, and smarter human.   Football brings the world together and can unite people and communities ways that perhaps nothing else can.  The game allows you to be creative and free, while also part of something bigger than yourself.
