The No.29 Horse Hospital Edition

We're very happy to announce the arrival of our latest Special Edition, a watch dedicated to the fascinating history of Camden Market and the building which now houses our very own flagship store.

The No.29 Horse Hospital Edition is exclusively available in our flagship and will never be sold elsewhere.

About The Horse Hospital

Camden Market was originally developed in 1839 as the Camden Goods Depot, the London terminus for goods traffic from both the railways and the canals.

As the area continued to grow, more warehouses for the goods and more stables for the Victorian working horses moving the goods were needed, leading to the construction of the Stables Yard.

In 1883, a two storey building was erected in the North-West corner of the Stables Yard. It accommodated 92 horses over 2 floors, including 12 loose boxes that were provided for resting tired or injured horses and led to this building becoming known as the “Horse Hospital”.

About The Watch

The design of our Horse Hospital special edition is inspired by the colours and features found on British WWI trench watches; a thick leather strap, a dark dial with bright, legible colours and touches of luminous details. It retails only in Camden at £135.

Produced in four batches of 50, each batch sold out fast, and ever since we have received emails and messages asking us if by any chance we've held any back (we haven't), or even if it was possible buy our very own edition (it isn't).

Camden and its market are ever changing, just as the rest of London is evolving, but somehow you can still feel the echoes of Camden's history. Most notably, and perhaps one of the main reasons people visit Camden, is its fundamental place in London's punk scene.
